My radiology class is going to be the death of me. I thought that I knew the material fairly well, but the marks that I've been getting back are less than satisfactory. I've never struggled in a class for this program more than radiology. It doesn't help that we have the Marking Nazi as our teacher. She's a great teacher and knows her stuff, but she marks like we should all be going to hell and rotting there. She even marks wrong for different ways of explaining things, so wording things in your own way is out.

I have to start getting prepared for my two practicums too. I really don't know how it will go, since we're thrown into the job with the training that we have, and I can't say that I feel ready. Working in a vet clinic is going to be fun, but I worry that I'm going to feel dumb or something. Plus, the one place that I want to go is relatively inaccessible at this time; I don't really want to pay for a hotel for three weeks.

It sucks staying at school for 11-12 hours a day. I don't have a life, and my moods are crap. :/

I don't even have the motivation for role-playing right now. I can't bring myself to hiatus just yet either. There should be more time in the day.

I can't really say too much when it comes to radiology. Hard-marking teachers never make life easy especially when it's in a class that you're already having some level of difficulties with. Have you tried talking to her about it at all? If everyone in the class is having difficulties with the subject (or the large majority of them), then something might be able to be done, right?

I wish that I could help you out with your practicum, but the only people I know who live in that area wouldn't be of any help :( As for the content of what you need to do there, you're a hell of a lot smarter than you give yourself credit for, and it's just that you need more confidence in what you do. Just remember that we all have to start somewhere, and if you do get the feel that you're 'dumb' or whatever, then obviously whoever you're working with isn't treating you the right way since I know you know your stuff.

Don't you even worry about your moods either. Working such long days at school would be enough to stress anyone out, especially if they're not given the time to take a moment for themselves. I'd be the same way if I was in the situation. You just need to remember that it's only for a few more months and then you'll be done :)

(I probably sprouted a whole lot of nonsense, and I apologise if I did :( )

The last thing I want you to do is to further stress yourself out, and even if you don't want to do it, maybe even putting one of your characters on hiatus might help you out a little? That way, when you do get the time to RP, you don't have to focus on more than one - and you still get to chillout and relax with a little threading.

I'm sorry to hear that things are going so poorly with school and stuff. Marking Nazis are never fun to have as teachers... you can't help but feel like they're the enemy as opposed to the person helping you (or, conversely, that they see you as the enemy vs. a student to be assisted).

As for the practicum, please remember that the offer for February is still open, as long as you don't mind tripping over my parents and the Olympics. :-)

Hang in there! You may feel bummed out that your efforts are not being rewarded to your satisfaction, but it's always the persistent and hard workers who graduate and get the best jobs, not the ones who are predisposition-ed with great study skills.

I do wish there were more hours a day so I could have a social life and finish my work in time, but that's just the way things are. ;S
